happy mother's day!

I'm back...after starting with such gusto huh?! Anyway, it's been a big couple weeks around here and I now have lots to blog about...coming soon.

Either way, today I celebrated being a mom. I gotta be honest it's the best and one of the hardest things ever and I only have one baby! I love this age. Hadley is walking, talking and has so much personality. I feel like she's becoming more of a little person every day. I read an article yesterday about how being a mom to young kids is really 24/7 with very few breaks and I think it's true.

Today as my sweet baby rocked with me before bed, I thought about how lucky I am. Many women will have the opportunity to be mothers but some will not. I've had friends who have walked long roads of infertility and miscarriage. So today, I recognize it's hard but I'm also completely thankful and blessed.

We had a simple day of celebration today, not absent of our normal episodes with a curious 1 year old but still memorable. Brian chased Hadley into the kitchen of the restaurant as she wandered away at the end of lunch! Brian's mom, GG is traveling this week so we made a video message to say hello for this special day. Nothing quite captures each stage like video....I just love that little voice :).

More posts to come this week, I promise. It's finally spring here and today in honor of Mother's Day my dad and husband helped me get my backyard garden into shape...looking forward to some yummy garden veggies this summer!

Off to bed to start again tomorrow. Happy Mother's Day everyone!

well, here goes...something

oh blogs. I actually love them. Reading blogs, jumping to other blogs, stumbling across shopping and recipe blogs...ya know the list could go on and on. So, about a year ago I started this blog. Obviously I've never posted on it. When I do something, I'm the type of person who really likes to follow through on it. I don't want to be one of those blog posters who never posts. One year later, one baby girl, new job, new house, 3 moves later....here we are. I'm going to give this thing a try I think....who knows, maybe it will be something really great :). Thanks for following AZ and for the encouragement, really your blog inspired me to get started!
